Steven W. Blake
Private Practice Attorney
Steven Blake is a well-respected dual-licensed attorney who has dedicated the last seventeen years of his practice to helping real estate owners, investors, developers, and related business owners in litigation and transactions involving commercial and residential real estate and business matters.
Steve represents a range of prominent clients, advising on the evaluation, acquisition, development, and disposition of their real estate assets. He maintains an active real estate broker’s license in California.
For some clients, Steve negotiates commercial and residential real estate lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, and past clients include real estate owners and investors, real estate brokers, title and escrow companies, hard-money lenders, HOAs, real estate developers, construction firms, subcontractors, design professionals, and similar others.
While it’s preferable to avoid litigation in the first place, that’s not always possible. During his career, Steve has represented clients in various situations and legal forums, such as in alternative dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and remediation, administrative hearings and boards, mediations, arbitrations, litigation, trials, appeals, and before the California Supreme court.
Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Steve attended undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, earning a B.A. in English and Communications. Then, he attended law school at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and shortly after passed the California Bar and moved to San Diego, California, to pursue a career in law in California. Continuing his education, Steve attended the Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law program from the University of San Diego School of Law.
